Kids Bowl Free!

We finally had a chance to check out Kids Bowl Free!

Well... it's kind of free. The program at the Newburgh Family Entertainment Center allows kids to bowl two free games every day during the summer. Games normally start at $3.99 each so you really do save some cash.

You do still have to pay $3.99 each for shoe rental and adults have to pay for their games and shoes too. In all, we spent about $70 between bowling (2 games and shoe rental) and lunch. Next time, we will probably go on a Wednesday when they offer $1 children's movies at 9:30 a.m. and half-price arcade games. Movie, bowling and arcade games sounds like a fun day!

Overall, my kids (10, 8 and 7) loved the experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, food service was super fast (and I thought the food was SO GOOD, which seems random for a movie theater/bowling alley, but seriously appreciated!) and the entire facility is very clean. We had a blast and it was a really fun way to spend a summer day. We will definitely go back, even though it's a hike for us North(east)siders. ;)

Final Words from the Mom: Expect to part with some cash even with the good deals, but expect to have a great time and enjoy good food too! Also, enjoy not feeling like bathing in hand sanitizer when you leave. That's rare for a kid-friendly establishment, folks!

Emme's Onion Ring Rating: (This child seriously orders onion rings at every restaurant in the tri-state. She is a connoisseur of onion rings.) I thought the onion rings were okay, but the onion was too chewy. The onions reminded me of apples that feel like they are made out of foam. The batter was perfect. The onion rings weren't overcooked or under cooked. I give it a 5/10 star rating, but I did enjoy their french fries. I had a lot of fun bowling and can't wait to go back!

From Chloe: I loved going bowling and I loved the chicken tenders. The dance music was awesome. I danced to every song! I also liked the french fries. The big crane machine was awesome too. I hope I can come back again to go bowling and try laser tag.
